4:1 Current Balun
This ratio transforms impedance by a factor of four. It is typically used for antennas that have a higher feed point impedance, around 200 ohms.
- Best for: Folded Dipoles, Off-Centre Fed Dipoles (OCFD), and certain Loop antennas (like a full-wave Delta Loop).
- Types: For most ham applications, a 4:1 Current balun is preferred for its superior balance
