The CHELEGANCE 80m Coil for the MC-750 Antenna is an 80-meter (3.5–4.0 MHz) add-on tuning coil specifically designed for the MC-750 portable HF vertical antenna system.

While the standard MC-750 kit typically covers the 40-meter through 6-meter bands (7–50 MHz), this specific component allows you to extend the antenna's capabilities into the 80m band for POTA (Parks on the Air), SOTA (Summits on the Air), or other field operations.

"Chelegance Quality - Made by Hams, for Hams".

Key Specifications & Features

  • Frequency Range: Covers the 80m amateur band (3.5 MHz to 4.0 MHz).

Compatibility:

  • Native to the Chelegance MC-750 , but also compatible with the JPC-12 antenna system when used in conjunction with a longer telescopic whip (such as the 5.6m version).

Construction:

  • Wound with high-quality copper wire and built with abrasion-resistant materials for outdoor durability.

Installation:

  • It features standard M10 threading , allowing it to be screwed directly into the antenna's modular sections.

Typical Setup:

  • In a standard field configuration, you would install the coil between the antenna base (or extension arms) and the telescopic whip. Because 80m is a much lower frequency, this "loading coil" provides the necessary inductance to make the physically short portable antenna electrically resonant at 3.5 MHz.
