This JNC RADIO JLoad-200 is a high-power, passive air-cooled RF dummy load designed for the serious amateur radio operator or commercial communication service technician.

It serves as a 50-ohm electrical substitute for an antenna, allowing you to test a transceiver's power output and performance without actually radiating a signal over the air.

Are they build solid?  Oh, YES, they're built to last!  "JNC Radio Quality - Made by Hams, for Hams".

Key Specifications:

  • This model equipped with an PL-259 (UHF Male) connector.
  • Frequency Range: DC to 520 MHz (covering HF, VHF, and UHF bands).
  • Power Rating: 200 Watts (Continuous).
  • Impedance: 50 Ohms.
  • VSWR: <1.2.
  • Cooling: Passive air-cooled via a rugged aluminium heatsink body (no fans required).
  • Dimensions: approximately 224.5 × 120 × 70 mm (8.84 × 4.72 × 2.76 in).

Applications:

  • Because it can handle 200W continuously, it is particularly useful for:
    • Transmitter Calibration: Measuring accurate PEP or average power without interference.
    • Bench Testing: Diagnosing radio issues or testing amplifiers in a lab environment.
    • System Tuning: Verifying the integrity of coaxial cables and connectors before connecting a live antenna.
